ABOUT
I believe in the importance of speaking up and speaking out. The world around us, especially in the digital age, revolves around unique and varied perspectives to depict a story. Journalism gives me the opportunity to share these perspectives with my own community. Often, people are uncomfortable with voices outside of their norm. However, journalism gives us the chance to share these different voices in a way that gives them the spotlight while also making it accessible to those who may not have listened otherwise. Dance gives everyone a chance for self-expression that may not be easily conveyed with words. Through dance, and the arts, communities are formed, and new talents are discovered. It is a powerful, universal language, and one that I am proud to participate in.
